Reminiscence...Childhood..!!!

There is First time for everything!!.... I remember the day when i was taken to a big

Coliseum kind of structure where a big fat lady put her hand on my head and said to my mom "dont worry, we will take care of your child". I held my mom tight not wanting her to leave me.. I could feel the loud whispers in the corridors where elders were just instructing the kids of my age and the kids, sighed helplessly... I wondered what kind of environment it is where elders get to order and kids need to follow... Later i realized that.... it's School!!!!

I peeked out of the window of my class room and looked at my mom. I was just wondering, how could she leave me when all i want is her. It was my first day at school... I never thought i could be part of such a huge crowd. slowly i realized, i could!!!.....and in fact, did!!... There was a poem which my teacher taught!!.... "chubby cheeks..dimple chin"..rosy lips teeth with in".... I was neither chubby nor did i have dimples..... I was just another girl in that big bunch of students.... but the poem ended saying "teacher's pet.. Is that you".... i would shout at the top of my voice and exclaim "YES..YES...YES"... I spent 12 beautiful years of my life there... made friends on whom i can count my life on... tore the home work sheets of the guy who was scoring better than me... teased friends.....Got teased by them...had innumerable crushes right from PT sir to the seniors who were left unbeaten in the cultural activities!!....jumped the compound wall...slapped my bench mate... and cried at the farewell..... When i look back now...I wonder, how it could have been if the things didn't happen the way they did!!....I would not have been the person i am now....I am thankful to all the people who have been with me till now....and i dedicate this first post of mine to each one of those who made a difference in my life!!... I will keep you posted every now and then... watch out this space for more updates!! :):):)
