Misinterpretations!!!!

People say "you need not express yourself to the person who knows you the best. They just understand". I don't know if that's true.. All my friends are just the opposite!
Or may be it’s that I am not good enough to emote myself in a way which would make my friends understand that I am happy, sad, angry, frustrated or bored.

A few days ago, while I was musing over some trivial things as I was sitting at the corner seat of the infy bus, I heard some one call my name, I peeked out of the window to see that it was one of my batch mate. Though a very close friend of mine... we hardly get time to talk in infy. its been a long time since we met and not to mention I was excited to see him. After the initial greetings I uttered the golden words
"Hey your Zip is open"
Indicating the zip of the bag. it took us a second to realize that the heavily loaded crowd in the bus came to a stand still and there was pin drop silence!!... people were whispering into each others ears and a few burst ed out laughing and looked at my friend... he just showed his bag and said...." its the bag....bag".... It was quite embarrassing then, though now when i think about it, it was no big deal....

People always have the habit of looking at the index toe... It's a common topic among my friends.. They say that if a girl has a long index finger, her husband will listen to her...once this discussion came up in my cubicle as one of my friend suffered with so called disease of having a longer index finger... when everyone stared staring at her toe.... It was her time to utter the golden words

“My middle finger is taller than my little finger” indicating the little finger of her hand. poor girl, she expected us to compare them both but she could not realize that she left us all speechless!!!.....I sank into the seat and held my forehead wondering how did that happen...I could see people in either side of the cubicle laugh their wits out...I then got to know the simple fact....At times it's better to know a little bit of filthy language than to be utterly and innocently insane...

I happened to watch 3-Idiots last Sunday and none of us can ever forget chatur's speech. The utterance of the word "balathakar" in place of chamatkar, again and again made every one fall off the chair...This scene was my personal favorite...

My previous Project Manager was not very well versed with English(please read horrible). When a new person entered our team.. he smiled, made a polite gesture indicating the seat and said "please, shit here".......The poor guy was dumbstruck... we had a hearty laugh... he has these weirdest of the weird statements like "both of you three, where did you go?"... uff, un bearable... not that i am very good in English...and i am sure people will find n number of grammatical errors in this write up as well..... but still you know, there are a few things which you can take your eyes off but you cant take your ears off....

That’s what I call, a few interpretations!!!... and a few misinterpretations!!!
